Winter Poem

Sledding

Sparkling snow covering the ground

The blowing wing coming towards me

Going down the steep hill

Making the deep sled tracks

The pretty snow coming down

Going in my warm house when I’m done

Drinking hot chocolate

I had a time of my life

Christmas In Canada

Saskatchewan Christmas is snow covered fun! In Canada it snows a lot.I like to play in the snow, build snowmen, go sledding and build forts.

For Christmas I decorate a Christmas tree, wrap presents to put under our tree, hang up stockings for Santa, set up cookies with milk for Santa, and sing Christmas carols.

After opening my presents on December 25 we have  a Christmas dinner. We eat turkey, ham ,potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, and gravy. For dessert we have pumpkin, apple or cherry pie trifle, and Christmas pudding.

Pigs

Pigs

Pigs are intelligent animals. Like humans, pigs are omnivores, meaning they eat both plants and meat. A pig’s snout is an important tool for finding food in the ground and sensing the world around them. Pigs have an excellent sense of smell. There are about 2 billion pigs in the world. Humans farm pigs for meat, such as pork, bacon, and ham.
